Use a saree/sari to decorate my wall?
Our rented apartment looks dull, and I want to spruce it up with some color.
I was thinking of using my wedding bangles and a saree (long flowing grarment of one piece, worn in India). You can see pictures of sarees here: http://images.google.com/images?q=saree+&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&start=0
Do you have any ideas for using a long piece of fabric, in decorating a wall? And bangles too.
The saree is around 20' by 3' (I think)
I'd like to use the saree in one piece, but I also welcome other suggestions.

I have used mine as a decorating element,you could use your bangles as hoops add some hooks and hang bangles and feed fabric through bangles.
Have had mine draped across a doorway
draped and hanging from the top of a high cabinet adding some dried flowers anchoring where needed.

Look around for some mathcing fabrics and make up some other decor to pull together.
You can use unwanted fabric from clothing for throw pilows.
Or look around at thrift stores and make some accents.
Pull in colors from Sari adding flowers and other elements.
Think painting old pices like a lamp base,light switches,lamp shades,vase,baskets,frames,mirrors..
(you could use your bangles as hoops add some hooks and hang bangles and feed fabric through bangles.
